“It started out as a joke..”

The inventor of a gadget that keeps Nutella safely locked up from prying hands told The Local.

But for lovers of the mouth-watering hazelnutspread, this is no joke. This is genius.

German designer Daniel Schobloch has come up with anidea to help Nutella lovers everywhere protect their hoard.

“The idea started out as a joke,” Schobloch quipped.“One of my friends was always getting worked up because his children were stealing his Nutella.”

Thedesign is simple. It is an acrylic cover and padlock, which prevents the lid from being removed.

So effective, the inventiontook off and soon found a market on Ebay In Germany. Now the producthas gone viral.

So whether you enjoy the addictive gooeyspread on toast, pancakes or by the spoonful; one things for sure..

Now you will only have yourself to blame when you get to the bottom of the jar.
