One of our fabulous Stay at Home Mum’s in the office was searching for a simple recipe for Simple Curried Sausages that she could whip up in a minute with easy ingredients and that would be eaten just as quick.
One call to her mum to ask for for the best way to make curried sausages and she gave us her recipe. It is super simple, frugal and delicious Simple Curried Sausages recipe that is sure to be a family favourite. It tastes so comforting and satisfying!
Yes I Boil the Sausages First…

My Mum taught me this and it really works to make the best curried sausages. Half fill a frying pan with water, bring it to the boil and pop the sausages (whole) in the water and boil them for about five minutes. Then remove them with tongs. This makes the sausage skin really easy to remove, and you can easily just chop up the sausages because they are par-cooked.
Look you don’t HAVE to do this – it is an added step – but it does make for a better end result.
A Hint about Choosing the Right Sausage: We always use Honey Sausages in any of our recipes.
Sure, they aren’t as healthy as the traditional types of sausage, but they are so yummy and if that’s what it takes to get my kids to eat dinner – so be it. You can even freeze it and reheat it later on.
