A medication, APO-Cabergoline, used by women who just gave birth to assist in drying up breast milk has been recalled because of a packaging issue that may affect the drug.

Apotex Pty Ltd is recalling one batch of the APO-Cabergoline 500mcg tablets, which can alsobe used by women to treat abnormally high levels of prolactin.

The company said that the drying agent on the packaging of these tablets maynot protect the product from moisture throughout its shelf life. It added that failure to protect the tabletsfrom moisture coulddegrade the product over time which may affect itseffectiveness.
