The pumpkin in the soup provides a good dose of Vitamin A, which is important for maintaining immunity, and IT adds a rich flavour that makes the soup even more comforting.

Additionally, the soup is relatively quick and easy to make, so you can enjoy it even if you’re short on time.

Tip: If you are in a hurry and want to achieve the perfect consistency, use the KitchenAid Cordless Hand Blender. I recently went to a restaurant in Toowoomba that served this soup as a complimentary starter – topped with Fennel Seeds in tiny little steaming bowls. And you know, it warmed me from the inside out – all the way to my toes.

I never forgot about this soup after that, and now it is a staple in my household during cold nights.

If you haven’t made French Onion Soup from scratch, you can’t comment. It is freaking delicious. I know it has a billion onions in it – but they really make the soup nice and sweet.
