Ingredients

  • 12 large strawberries

  • ¼ cup (60ml) Baileys Irish Cream or other cream liqueur

  • 2 tbsp chocolate chips (melted, optional for coating)

  • Crushed biscuits or sprinkles, for garnish (optional)

Directions

  • Wash and dry strawberries. Slice a small part off the base so they stand upright.
  • Use a small knife or melon baller to carefully hollow out the centres.
  • If using, dip the tops in melted chocolate and then into crushed biscuits or sprinkles. Chill for 5 minutes to set.
  • Fill each hollowed strawberry with about 1 teaspoon of cream liqueur.
  • Serve immediately.

Notes

  • Only suitable for adults—alcohol content.
  • Chill strawberries before filling for best texture.
  • Use non-alcoholic Irish cream for a kid-friendly version.
  • Fill just before serving to prevent leaking.
  • Try with Kahlúa or chocolate liqueur for flavour variety.
