Ingredients

  • 1000 gram Lamb Mince

  • .25 tsp Dried chili flakes

  • 1.5 tbsp Fresh mint leaves-chopped

  • 2 tbsp Fresh parsley leaves-chopped

  • 2 tsp Paprika

  • .5 tsp Ground ginger

  • 2 tsp Ground cumin

  • 1 tsp Ground Coriander

  • 2 Lemon-cut into wedges, to serve

  • 1 Brown onion-chopped

Directions

  • In a bowl mix together the garlic, onion, chilli flakes, mint, parsley, paprika, ginger, cumin and coriander. Combine well.
  • Sprinkle this mixture over your lamb mince, and combine it well using your hands. The spices should be really well distributed in the mince.
  • Using your hands, shape about 1/4 cup of lamb mince into kofta shape that you can thread onto your skewers. Place your 15 skewers on a baking tray, cover, and pop in the fridge for 20 minutes until firm.
  • Heat an oiled BBQ place or skillet on high. Add the kofta and reduce heat to medium-low. Cook, turning occasionally, for 10-15 minutes, or until cooked through. Transfer to a baking tray, cover with foil and rest for 5 minutes prior to serving.
