Ingredients

  • 1/2 number Fancy lettuce-torn roughly

  • 1 number Carrot

  • 1 number Cucumber

  • 1/4 number Yellow capsicum

  • 2 number Tomatoe-diced

  • 1 number Tuna-one 325 gram tin

Directions

  • The key to this salad is having a ‘julienne peeler’. You can get these from any kitchen shop and usually under .
  • Place lettuce in each bowl and top with tomato. Slice capsicum thinly with a knife, leaving as long strips. Now for the fun part, peel the carrot skin with standard peeler, then in long strips start shredding the carrot, with your julienne peeler.
  • Do the same with cucumber but do not peel the skin, the colour looks great in the salad.
  • Top with a dollop of mayonnaise and 2 tablespoons of tuna on each plate.
  • Serve immediately.
  • Recipe Hints and Tips:
  • You can swap the tuna for salmon, chicken or ham.
