Khloe Kardashian’s Potentially Dodgy Vaginal Health Advice

Khloe Kardashian has shared advice with the world about how she keeps her vagina in tip-top condition: she douses it in Vitamin E.

If you are one of those people out there who reportedly not only enjoys Keeping Up With The Kardashians but also tries to emulate them, now you can get a vag like Khloe’s at home.

Khloe has extolled the virtues of Vitamin E on her beauty app, saying it’s her go-to for everything from her eyelashes to her lady garden:

Slather Vitamin E oil on your face at night. It fights wrinkles, inflammation and redness “ and it’s great for acne scars! I put Vitamin E oil on my lashes every night, too, to keep them super-soft.Add Vitamin E capsules to your daily vitamin list to balance cholesterol levels, ease PMS symptoms, and improve muscle strength,” she said.

“No joke: Vitamin E may strengthen vaginal lining!!!Moisturiseyour labia and vagina with Vitamin E oil tocombat dryness and soothe irritation.

If you’re skeptical about taking advice from a Kardashian about what you should and should not put inside your vagina – and let’s face it, you have every reason to be skeptical of them – you are probably wise.

According to OB/GYN and writer Dr. Jennifer Gunter, young, pre-menopausal women who are suffering from vaginal dryness should see a doctor first rather than just sticking Vitamin E up there.

Dr. Gunter told The Daily Beast: “I would not recommend this nor is there any study that looks at this for healthy, premenopausal women.”

“If you are 32 and have a dry vagina, see your doctor and try a silicone-based lube,” she said.

There is also no conclusive evidence that the vitamin can “strengthen vaginal lining” and putting it in or on your vag without a doctor telling you to do so can cause you potential problems.

Not only can the Vitamin E potentially stain your underwear, it could cause the latex in condoms to break down and therefore cause unwanted pregnancy or exposure to STIs.
