Home Remedies For Snoring

Woman sleeping peacefully on bed, demonstrating sleep comfort for snoring remedies.

Change Your Sleeping Position

So the on your back starfish isn’t your bestfriend if you snore. In this position the tongue and soft pallate rest against the back of your throat blocking the airway and increasing the probability of snoring.

Try sleeping on your side to reduce your snoring.

Yes I know it’s a hard thing to change, you’ve been sleeping like that all your life. Use a full length body pillow behind your back when you’re on your side to encourage you to remain in that position. I’ve even seen a suggestion to tie a tennis ball to your PJ’s or around your waist so it sits on your back to deter rolling back onto your back during sleep. Not sure on overall comfort with this but I guess worth a try. I can just imagine we partners of the male snoring fraternity, getting poked in the back with the ball after finally getting some peace, now thinking surely I’m not being ‘hit up’ for a little horizontal tango now???! Laying there muttering not so sweet nothings for being woken for this while your partner oblivious and in the deepest sleep is just an innocent party to this (for once! Haha)
