Ingredients

  • 2 tbsp Butter

  • 1/2 Onion-chopped finely

  • 3 Carrot-diced

  • 4 1/2 cups Water

  • 1/2 cups Dry white wine

  • 1500 gram Salmon steaks

  • Salt and pepper-pinch

Directions

  • Add butter to a large frying pan to heat.
  • Add onions carrots and celery to the pan,stirring until cooked for 5 minutes.
  • Add the water, Dry white wine and a pinch of salt and pepper, letting the mixture just simmer in the pan for 5 minutes.
  • You will need to wrap the salmon in either cheesecloth or muslin, then place the wrapped steaks into the boiling mixture.
  • It is important to simmer covered on a low heat for about 15 minutes.
  • Carefully remove the salmon from the pan. Remember when unwrapping to be careful of steam.
  • Serve.
