Ingredients
2 tbsp Butter
1/2 Onion-chopped finely
3 Carrot-diced
4 1/2 cups Water
1/2 cups Dry white wine
1500 gram Salmon steaks
Salt and pepper-pinch
Directions
- Add butter to a large frying pan to heat.
- Add onions carrots and celery to the pan,stirring until cooked for 5 minutes.
- Add the water, Dry white wine and a pinch of salt and pepper, letting the mixture just simmer in the pan for 5 minutes.
- You will need to wrap the salmon in either cheesecloth or muslin, then place the wrapped steaks into the boiling mixture.
- It is important to simmer covered on a low heat for about 15 minutes.
- Carefully remove the salmon from the pan. Remember when unwrapping to be careful of steam.
- Serve.
