Ingredients
1 cup (250ml) milk
1 tbsp white sugar
2 tbsp small pearl tapioca
Directions
- In a saucepan, combine milk, sugar, and tapioca.
- Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until mixture thickens—about 10–15 minutes.
- Remove from heat once tapioca is translucent and mixture is creamy.
- Allow to cool slightly before serving warm, or chill in fridge and serve cold.
- Optional: top with fresh fruit, honey, or cinnamon before serving.
Notes
- Double the batch for bulk cooking—leftovers keep for 3 days in the fridge.
- Use coconut milk or oat milk for a dairy-free version.
- Great for babies and toddlers when cooled.
- Stir regularly to prevent sticking or burning.
- Add a drop of vanilla extract for extra flavour.
