Paleo Pear Crumble

Delicious paleo pear crumble with fresh pears and crunchy topping. Perfect healthy dessert for a pal.

Pears are in season right now, and if you’re like us, you’re always on the lookout for tasty ways to use up affordable, in-season produce—and that’s exactly where this Paleo Pear Crumble comes in.

Pears don’t always get the love they deserve, but they’re such a gorgeous fruit—juicy, subtly sweet, and perfect for baking.

Sure, poached pears are lovely, but there’s so much more you can do with them!

This crumble is a great way to let their natural flavour shine, all while adding that cosy, comforting vibe that only a warm crumble can bring.

What makes this recipe extra special is the coconut twist—it adds just the right amount of natural sweetness and texture, without relying on refined sugar or grains. It’s paleo-friendly, super simple, and honestly, even non-paleo eaters will be coming back for seconds.

Whether you serve it fresh out of the oven with a dollop of coconut yoghurt, or enjoy it cold the next day for breakfast (we won’t judge!), it’s a delicious and wholesome way to make pears the star of the show.

  • 4 tbsp Flax seeds-ground

  • 4 tbsp Desiccated coconut

  • 1.5 cup Almond flour

  • 2 tsp Cinnamon

  • 1 tsp Nutmeg

  • 1 tbsp Coconut oil-melted

  • 1/2 cup Maple syrup-or honey

Directions

  • Preheat your oven to 190 degrees and prepare a dish. We used a casserole dish, but any disk will do. Just grease it with your preferred oil.
  • In a bowl mix together the almond flour, coconut flour, flax seeds, desiccated coconut, cinnamon and nutmeg. Meanwhile in another bowl whisk together the maple syrup with the melted coconut oil.
  • Pour the wet mixture on top of the dry mixture and mix well until there are no dry areas left in the mixture.
  • Lay the diced pears at the bottom of the greased dish and put the crumble mixture on top, patting down with a spoon so its evenly covered all the way around.
  • Bake in the oven for 30 minutes, or until the crust is nice a crispy and the edges are a little golden.
