Ingredients
100 gram Butter softened
200 millilitre Honey
1 1/2 tbsp Water
1 tsp Baking powder
1 tsp Vanilla extract
1 cup Apple sauce-or pureed, stewed apples
165 gram Sultanas
2 cups Plain flour
1 tsp Bicarb soda
2 tsp Cinnamon
1/2 tsp Nutmeg
1 1/2 tbsp Canola oil
2 tsp Corn flour
Directions
- Cream together the butter and honey.
- In a small bowl, combine the water, oil and baking powder then add to the butter mixture, as well as the vanilla and apple sauce.
- In another bowl, combine the flour, cornflour, bicarb soda, cinnamon and nutmeg then add the sultanas and mix well.
- Gently fold the dry ingredients into the wet mixture.
- Pour into a greased loaf tin and bake at 180 degrees for 35-40 minutes or until lightly golden.
