Six-Year-Old Boy Dies From Drowning in Backyard Pool

A six-year-old boy has died after he was found unconscious after drowning in a�swimming pool in south-west Sydney.

Emergency services were alerted�to a home in Raby at 5:30pm yesterday, where paramedics discovered�the boy floating in the water.

Paramedics worked on the boy for over half an hour, performed CPR on him, before he was taken to the Children’s Hospital at Westmead in a critical condition.

The boy�passed away a short time later. His�parents are reportedly too distraught to speak with detectives.

Police are now investigating the cause of the incident and are warning homeowners to check their pools meet safety standards.

A crime scene has been established at the home and a report is now being prepared for the coroner.
