This is the hilarious moment afive-year-old girlconfused sanitary padsfor shoe insoles.

Mum, Hazel Hulse, fromKintore, Aberdeenshire, said that she and her daughter, Sophia, were getting ready for the new Scottish school term. Sophia was getting her pens, pencil case and all other school items ready and they were trying out her uniform, when Ms Hulsefound the sanitary padsunderneath as she lifted up her daughter’s school shoes.

“I bought her new shoes ready for her first day of school. On Friday night we had some spare time so I thought I would make sure we were all ready.

“I opened the box and took the shoes out and that was when I noticed the towels. One had been placed under each shoe,” she said.

Ms Hulse said that Sophia was seriously going to wear them.”It’s really lucky I checked as otherwise she’d have gone to school with them in,” she said.

She said that Sophia has had insoles before when she bought shoes, but said she doesn’t actually need them, although she told her that if she wants insoles, she would buy her some, but not the sanitary towels.

However, the adorable girl thought her mum was silly as the towels were shaped like shoes.

“She genuinely thought I was being silly for not recognising them or knowing what they were for…She still believes she was right – but then she always thinks she’s right,” Ms Hulse said.
