If you go to Bunnings an awful lot, you may have noticed a new ‘eye-popping’ trend that is happening in just about every Bunnings Store in Australia called the “The Bunnings Flash”.

What is ‘The Bunnings Flash’
If you spend a lot of weekends wandering around Bunnings (and let’s be real, who doesn’t?), you may have noticed more than just the plants, power tools and sausage sizzles catching people’s attention. There’s a brand new trend making the rounds online called The Bunnings Flash, and it’s a whole lot more R-rated than a DIY demo.
So, what exactly is it? The Bunnings Flash is when someone takes a cheeky snap of themselves inside the store, flashing either their breasts or their bum, and then uploads it to social media with the hashtag #bunningsflash. It’s not a once-off prank either – there are TikToks, Instagram posts, Reddit threads and even a private Facebook group dedicated to collating these photos. Some people are even using the stunt as content for their OnlyFans accounts. Honestly, the things people will do for likes these days.
We reached out to Bunnings for comment to see whether staff had been briefed on how to handle anyone caught mid-aisle with their trousers down. At the time of writing, they haven’t responded. But let’s be real – Bunnings is known as one of the most family-friendly stores in Australia. Every parent knows the joy of bribing their kids through a long shop with the promise of a sausage in bread at the end. The last thing mums and dads need is their kids stumbling across a stranger’s bare bum in the paint aisle.
And that’s where the problem lies. Sure, some people might find the Bunnings Flash hilarious, but plenty of shoppers are less than impressed. There are kids around. There are families around. And there’s a big difference between being cheeky online and whipping your bits out in a public place where no one asked for it.
At the end of the day, this isn’t about being prudish – it’s about respect. If you want to flash for clout, do it in the privacy of your own home. Because when it comes to Bunnings, most of us are just there for potting mix, a new drill, and that glorious sausage sizzle.
What do you think about the Bunnings Flash? Funny or just plain inappropriate? Have you seen signs of it happening in your local store? Drop your thoughts in the comments – we’d love to know where you stand on this one.

Have your say!
