5. Jonathan Ke Quan as Data

Before he was cast as the gadget guy, Data in The Goonies, Jonathan Ke Quan had already debuted in Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom (1984) as Short Round. He went on to act in a number of series including Together We Stand (1986) and Head of the Class (1990). His last known acting credit is from 2002, but is thought to have dedicated himself to martial arts and have been working behind the scenes as a stunt coordinator.
