Sizzler Cheese Bread Recipe

minutesA homemade version of the famous restaurant-style cheese bread, golden, crunchy, and irresistibly cheesy.

Ingredients
6 slices Bread-thick sliced
3 Eggs-lightly beaten
0.75 cup Cheese (Parmesan)-finely grated
0.33 cup Butter
1 tsp Garlic Minced
Directions
- Line a baking tray with baking paper.
- Mix butter and garlic together to make paste.
- Generously butter both sides of each slice of bread.
- Pour lightly beaten eggs in square container big enough that bread slices will fit.
- Heat frypan over medium to high heat.
- Place bread in egg one at a time then fry until lightly golden brown on each side (about 2-3 minutes).
- Place bread on baking tray, repeat until all slices done.
- Sprinkle golden brown toast with Parmesan cheese until well coated.
- Place under grill for 2-3 minutes until cheese is melted.
- Serve immediately preferably with no one to share with as you won’t be able to stop at one slice!
- Parmesan Toast is only suitable for freezing after you have butter both sides as a preparation for using up leftover thick sliced bread.
- Parmesan Toast is best served immediately and not stored.
