The first installment ofThe Conjuring (2013) was a screaming success, so it’s no surprise that a second one is on the way. The film revolves around real-life paranormal investigators Ed and Lorraine Warren, played by Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga respectively. Based on what we’ve heard, it seems like this installment is based on the supposedly true story of two sisters in Enfield, England who were allegedly possessed in the 1970s. The real-life Lorraine Warren describes the case as one of the most terrifying inher career, which should be a good sign for viewers.

2. The Boy

This unique and unusual film followsThe Walking Dead’s Lauren Cohan as an Americannanny named Greta who takes a job in a creepy manor in England for an elderly couple to look after their young son Brahms. To her surprise, and at first amusement, Brahms is actually a life-size porcelain doll that is treated like a living child by his ‘parents’ following the real Brahms’ death in 1991. Brahms’ parents give Greta very specific rules to follow in taking care of Brahms, but when she neglects him, very strange things begin to happen. Shiver.
