Dessert is always fun, but when we want something simple that’s not going to totally blow out our ‘healthy lifestyle’ we usually opt for these Delightfully Crunchy Nutella Mini Toasts.
They bring together creamy, chocolatey goodness with the delightful tang of fresh strawberries and mint. Of course you can swap out strawberries for any kind of berry really, or even thin orange slices!

Ingredients
1 French stick
1 tbsp Unsalted Butter-melted
120 gram Marscapone cheese-softened
180 gram Nutella-or similar chocolate spread
300 gram Fresh strawberries-sliced
3 tsp Mint leaves-chopped roughly
Directions
- Pre-heat your oven to 200 degrees.
- While oven is heating, brush one side of your french loaf with your melted butter and arrange on a tray (remember to line tray with baking paper) with the buttered side up.
- Toast in the oven for 4 – 5 minutes.
- While the bread is toasting, bring together the softened marscapone cheese and the nutella (or other hazlenut/chocolate spread) in a bowl. Mix well until no white streaks can be seen.
- In another bowl mix the sliced strawberries, along with their juices, into mint. If you don’t want too much mint, you can leave this step out and just add the mint on top.
- Assemble your desert bruschetta by spreading your chocolate mix onto the toasted bread slices, before topping with strawberries. You want to try and spread the chocolate and strawberries evenly on the bread, but avoid over stacking as this will make the breads hard to eat.
