Ingredients

  • 750 gram Ripe strawberries

  • 0.25 cup Brown sugar

  • 2 tbsp Good quality balsamic vinegar

  • 0.5 cup Whipped cream cheese

Directions

  • Remove the stalk from the strawberries.
  • Cut into quarters and place in a glass or bowl.
  • Sprinkle the brown sugar over the top and very gently stir (try not to squash the strawberries).
  • Top with the balsamic vinegar, again stir very gently.
  • Pile into the serving plate or glass and spoon a little of the sugary vinegar syrup over the top.
  • Add a dollop of the whipped cream cheese and serve immediately.

Notes

  • Strawberries and Balsamic Vinegar is not suitable for freezing.

The sweetness of the fresh in-season strawberries with the tart taste of the Balsamic is just damn divine.
