If you are looking for a cheap and easy way to gently exfoliate your skin at home, try a Sugar Facial! Sugar is a gentler face scrub compared to salt because it tends not to tear at the skin. When dead skin collects on the surface of skin, it’s important to slough it away. This helps clear up clogged pores. When skin isn’t exfoliated, it can appear ashy.
2 tablespoons white sugar
3 tablespoons warm water
Stir the sugar into the warm water so that it melts.Make sure granules are dissolved, otherwise they could tear your skin.Apply to your face and gently massage around the skin being careful to avoid the eye area.
Rinse with warm water and moisturise well.
Moisturising Sugar Facial
This moisturising sugar facial is great not just for your face, but for your hands, elbows and all over body scrub.
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 teaspoon white sugar
Mix together to make a paste and gently apply the mixture to the desired area. With small circular motions using your fingers, gently exfoliate your skin. Pop into a warm shower to rinse well (and get all the oil off your body!).
