Kenneth Brumley, peak weight 468kg
Another documentary star, Kenneth Brumley was the man of the hour as a Half Ton Dad.
A father to four children, Brumley also weighed in at 468 kilograms.
Despite having been active as a young man, and a passionate player of both basketball, baseball and American football, Brumley started gaining weight at 19. This is when he had moved to California, and given up the sports. He was given gastric bypass surgery after having been bedbound for years, although part of his house needed to be demolished to remove him. His current weight status isn’t known.
Andre Nasr, peak weight 465kg
An entrant to this list who is a little more close to home, Andre Nasr has problems with his weight most of his life.
As a teenager, he was accused of being involved in a gang, where he used his weight as a weapon, and was even involved in a murder.
As an adult, part of his house had to be removed so he could be taken to hospital to receive medical attention. Tipping the scales at 465 kilograms, Nasr’s family claim he has already lost 150kg, but the struggle continues.
Paul Mason, peak weight 444kg
This big Briton was labelled as the world’s fattest man by tabloids, although he never really came close to the title.
Still, at 444 kilograms he certainly was a big guy, and it was killing him.
Mason started to binge eat to deal with emotional problems after his father’s death, and continued as his own mother’s health declined. He was later forced to quit his job as a postman, and eventually became immobile. To be moved to the hospital, part of his house was demolished, and a forklift truck lifted him out of the house into a specially modified ambulance. Now, Mason is much smaller, weighing around 140kg. He also recently had surgery to remove almost 30kg of saggy skin.
