Candy’s Cake Mix Cookies

Delicious colourful cake mix cookies with sprinkles, perfect for baking with kids or special occasio.

Candy’s Cake Mix Cookies are gooey and seriously fantastic. Don’t forget the golden rule – if the cake mix was given to you from a friend then it holds no calories hehe….go give your girlfriends a cake mix – Quick!! The kids will love these colourful cookies as will the grown ups they are so soft and sweet and you won’t believe how simple they are to make.

Ingredients

  • 395 gram Butter cake mix

  • 225 gram Cream cheese-softened

  • 120 gram Butter-softened

  • 1 Egg

  • 0.5 cup Sprinkles

  • 0.3 cup Icing Sugar

Directions

  • Preheat oven to 180 degrees.
  • Beat cream cheese and butter together using an electric mixer or beaters until light and fluffy 2-3 minutes. Add egg and mix well.
  • Slowly add the cake mix and sprinkles and mix well each time. Once dough is made wrap in GladWrap and set aside in the fridge for about 30 minutes to firm up.
  • Pour the icing sugar into a small bowl and set aside.
  • Line a two baking trays with baking paper.
  • Take a spoonful of mix (once firm from fridge) and roll into a ball, now roll in icing sugar and place on tray.
  • Bake for 10 minutes until just starting to brown, you want them to be nice gooey so don’t over cook them.

Notes

  • Cakemix Cookies are suitable for freezing for up to 1 month. Alternatively keep the cookie dough in the fridge for up to 1 week wrapped tightly in GladWrap.
  • Baked Cookies will keep in an airtight container for up to 5 days.
  • Change the flavour of your cookies by changing the cakemix flavour….tell me favourite combo. I’m going to try Lemon Cake mix next.
