Ingredients
250 ml beef stock (salt-reduced)
2 tsp balsamic vinegar
2 tsp molasses
1 tsp sesame oil
1 tbsp brown sugar
.25 tsp ground ginger
.25 tsp garlic powder
1 Pinch pepper
Directions
- Combine all ingredients in a small saucepan over medium heat.
- Stir well to dissolve sugar and bring to a gentle simmer.
- Simmer for 10 minutes or until slightly reduced.
- Remove from heat and allow to cool.
- Store in a sterilised jar or bottle in the fridge for up to 1 week.
Notes
- Use vegetable stock instead of beef for a vegan version.
- Shake well before using—settling may occur.
- Great for stir-fries, marinades, or dipping sauce.
- Adjust sugar or vinegar to suit your taste preferences.
- Can be frozen in ice cube trays for longer storage.
