A good shake can be a great way to start the day, and this Surprisingly Healthy Banana Choc Almond Shake is one of our favourites.

You would never have thought that it would be a good idea to start your day with chocolate, but in this case, it definitely is! This delicious blend of banana, almond and chocolate is to die for and with well-frozen bananas this shake is so thick you could almost eat it with a spoon! If that’s how you like it, considering making this into a smoothie bowl!

Ingredients

  • 1 Banana-frozen and sliced

  • 0.5 cup Almond milk

  • 1 tbsp Organic cocoa powder

  • 1 tbsp Greek yoghurt

  • 2 tbsp Almond butter

  • 1 tsp Honey

Directions

  • Pop all ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth and creamy. Depending on your blender and the size of the banana pieces, this may require several pulses.
  • If shake is too thick for you, pour in a little more almond milk and blend again before serving.
