Ingredients
750 gram Ripe strawberries
0.25 cup Brown sugar
2 tbsp Good quality balsamic vinegar
0.5 cup Whipped cream cheese
Directions
- Remove the stalk from the strawberries.
- Cut into quarters and place in a glass or bowl.
- Sprinkle the brown sugar over the top and very gently stir (try not to squash the strawberries).
- Top with the balsamic vinegar, again stir very gently.
- Pile into the serving plate or glass and spoon a little of the sugary vinegar syrup over the top.
- Add a dollop of the whipped cream cheese and serve immediately.
Notes
- Strawberries and Balsamic Vinegar is not suitable for freezing.
The sweetness of the fresh in-season strawberries with the tart taste of the Balsamic is just damn divine.
