Deeply chocolatey, moist steamed pudding—perfect with custard or cream for cozy dessert.

Ingredients

  • 60 gram Butter

  • 60 gram Sugar

  • 1 number Egg

  • 125 gram Self raising Flour

  • 2 tbsp Milk

  • 1 tbsp Cocoa

  • 1 tsp Vanilla extract

Directions

  • Cream the butter and sugar together until white and light and fluffy
  • Add the beaten egg. Dissolve the cocoa into the milk and add it to the mixture
  • Add the sifted flour and lastly the vanilla extract. Stir until just combined
  • Pour into a greased steamer and steam for 1 and a half hours. Serve with chocolate sauce.
  • Recipe Hints and Tips:
  • Steamed Chocolate Pudding is best cooked and eaten fresh.  This is not suitable for freezing.
  • Can be covered in plastic wrap and kept in the fridge for up to 24 hours.  Reheat before serving.
