Notes

  • This pudding is gooey and fudgy and self-saucing. Beautiful served with cream, custard or ice-cream!!
  • This pudding makes enough for about 3 generous serves. If you double the recipe, cook for 3 hours

This recipe is perfect for those days when you crave something comforting and chocolatey but don’t want to spend hours in the kitchen. With just a handful of ingredients and a trusty slow cooker, you’ll create a dessert that’s sure to impress.

Put it on in two hours before you plan on eating dessert and let the aroma of chocolate waft through your home!

The best part? It’s ready to serve with minimal fuss—just top with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or a dollop of whipped cream, and watch it disappear in no time!

Enjoy the magic of a homemade chocolate pudding with all the rich flavours you love, made easy with your slow cooker.

Is there no egg in this recipe? It seemed quite thick when I combined it all, and not pouring consistency.

Do you actually cook it in the slow cooker or place the bowl in the cooker and cook it in the bowl. My slow cooker is quite large and I think that it would turn out very flat ??? Thanks

    1. Jody Allen Avatar

You can do either Kerry, but I put mine straight in the bowl.

Hi my slowcooker is really large too, would it work if you left it in a smaller bowl and used a water bath maybe? Or is it best to maybe just double the mixture and cook straight in the slowcooker bowl. I have made a pudding using the water bath only a few nights ago and that was beautiful and moist. Thanks
