Warm, gooey, and infused with buttery sweetness, this slow cooker golden syrup pudding is ultra-easy dessert heaven. Perfect for sharing, fuss-free to make, and guaranteed to vanish under warm custard or a scoop of ice cream.

Ingredients

  • 1.5 cups Self raising flour-(white)

  • 0.75 cup Caster sugar

  • 0.5 tsp Baking powder

  • 90 gram Butter- or margarine

  • 0.75 cup Milk

  • 1 tsp Vanilla extract

  • Self Saucing Sauce

  • 2 cups boiling Water

  • 0.75 cup Brown sugar

  • 4 tbsp Golden Syrup

  • 1 tbsp Butter

Directions

  • In a microwave proof bowl, add the butter, caster sugar, milk and vanilla.
  • Cook on high for two minutes or until the butter is melted through.
  • Stir the mixture to combine.
  • Add the sifted flour and baking powder into the wet ingredients and stir gently to form a batter.
  • Give your slow cooker a good spray of canola oil to prevent your pudding from sticking.
  • Carefully pour the batter into the bottom of the slow cooker.
  • Gently pour over the golden syrup sauce.
  • Place the lid on the dessert and cook on high for two hours.
  • To make the Golden Syrup Sauce:
  • In a small jug add the golden syrup sauce ingredients and pour over the boiling water.  Stir until well combined.
  • Recipe Hints and Tips:
  • Slow Cooker Golden Syrup Pudding is not suitable for freezing and is best made and eaten fresh on the day it is cooked.
  • Delicious served warm with whipped cream or ice cream.
