Rich and creamy pudding made with brown sugar, cream, and eggs. Comforting, smooth, and meant to be savored warm or chilled.

Ingredients

  • Batter

  • 1 cup Self raising Flour

  • 0.75 cup Sugar

  • 60 gram Butter-melted

  • 0.5 cup Milk

  • Sauce

  • 1.5 cups Water

  • 30 gram Butter-chopped

  • 2 tbsp Golden Syrup

Directions

  • Preheat oven to 180 (fan forced).
  • Mix it all together the batter ingredients and place in a greased oven proof dish.
  • On top of the batter place the 2 tbsp golden syrup, 30g of butter chopped and 1 1/2 cups of boiling water.
  • Bake for 30-35 minutes.

Notes

  • Butterscotch Pudding is not suitable to freeze.

It’s thick, rich and creamy. Best of all, so easy to make at home!

    If you are feeling really naughty, mix in some white chocolate melts to the batter and then add the sauce and bake.
    If you like more sauce, double the quantity.
    If you are cooking for a larger group, double the batter and treble the sauce.
