Ingredients

  • 3 cups Oats (rolled)-not the quick oats for microwaves!

  • 3 cups Milk

  • 1 number pinch salt*

  • 1 cup Water

Directions

  • Just before you go to bed at night, mix the oats and water in your slow cooker.  Pour over the milk. Set on low, cover and let it cook eight hours on low.
  • In the morning, stir in the salt. Scoop into bowls and sprinkle brown sugar over the top.

    Has anyone else made this? I tried it last night. Followed the recipe to a tee. It turned out like slop. It was just like thick soup. Any ideas???

    Too much water. 1 cup of oats , 2 cups water, cook on low or “keep warm” overnight.
    Delicious
