Ingredients

  • 6 slices Bread-thick sliced

  • 3 Eggs-lightly beaten

  • 0.75 cup Cheese (Parmesan)-finely grated

  • 0.33 cup Butter

  • 1 tsp Garlic Minced

Directions

  • Line a baking tray with baking paper.
  • Mix butter and garlic together to make paste.
  • Generously butter both sides of each slice of bread.
  • Pour lightly beaten eggs in square container big enough that bread slices will fit.
  • Heat frypan over medium to high heat.
  • Place bread in egg one at a time then fry until lightly golden brown on each side (about 2-3 minutes).
  • Place bread on baking tray, repeat until all slices done.
  • Sprinkle golden brown toast with Parmesan cheese until well coated.
  • Place under grill for 2-3 minutes until cheese is melted.
  • Serve immediately preferably with no one to share with as you won’t be able to stop at one slice!
  • Parmesan Toast is only suitable for freezing after you have butter both sides as a preparation for using up leftover thick sliced bread.
  • Parmesan Toast is best served immediately and not stored.
