Ingredients

  • 3/4 cups Self raising flour

  • 3/4 cups Wholemeal plain flour-(self raising)

  • 1/2 tsp Salt

  • 150 gram Butter

  • 2/3 cups Brown sugar

  • 2 Eggs

  • 1 tsp Vanilla extract

  • 2 Lemons

  • 2 tbsp Sesame seeds

Directions

  • Preheat the oven to 180°C. With butter, grease a regular sized loaf tin.
  • In a large bowl sieve the flours together and mix in the salt.
  • In a separate bowl, combine the melted butter and the sugar. Beat in the eggs, vanilla, and juice and zest of the two lemons
  • Fold the flour into the wet mix until just combined.
  • Pour into prepared loaf tin. If desired, top with lemon slices and sesame seeds. Bake for 30-minutes or until a skewer comes out clean.
  • Serve warm or cold and enjoy!
