What Happens When You Mix Propane and Coca Cola?

Did you ever wonder what happens when Propane and Coca Cola is mixed?

You didn’t? Yeah, me neither.

With all that’s going on in the news, children getting abducted, our daily struggle to have more ME time and parties to organise, you can’t expect us to bother with some�geeky science stuff.

Unless it can make plastic bottles soar. A�DIY powerful�soft drink�rocket.. how cool is that?

Even SAHMs�like us enjoy�watching things blow up in the sky (eg Fireworks), too.

Propane, a�by-product of natural gas processing and crude oil refining which is found in petroleum, when mixed with coke in a plastic bottle can�make the bottle�expand in volume by more than 500 times..

Ukrainian DIY group Kreosan (on a�typical workday at their office)�just taught us how to make a rocket out of a�bottle of Coca Cola:

1) Get a plastic bottle of Coke, some Propane Gas, a camera�or�a video person.

2) Fill bottle with Propane Gas.

3) Make sure the camera is rolling and the video person is paying attention.

4) Go to an open area (eg garden, beach, backyard) turn the bottle over and..

5) Take cover!!!

Then�make sure you�clean�up after yourself.
