Mother and Son Incest Affair. Genetic Sexual Attraction?

Happy mother and son embracing, showcasing love and family bond.

Mother and son incest relationships are not uncommon, but this is one of the most shocking cases we’ve ever heard about. At birth, a man adopted has admitted to having sex with his biological mom several times over 30 years!

The incest began when 32-year-old Ben Ford realized he loved his mother, Kim West, 51, more than anything else. And wanted nothing less than to be happy together forever!

Both from Michigan, Kim and her son began an affair before he finally confessed his true feelings to his wife, Victoria Ford.

On a quest to find out who they were related to, Ben wrote a letter with them meeting each other in 2014. There were already sparks flying between them when they met in a hotel.

They shared champagne and began to kiss and fondle each other. In the long run, these illicit feelings turn to incestual lust, and the pair meet up to have sex.

Ultimately, Ben had to tell his wife Victoria what was going on. He told her everything in detail- the fantastic sex with his mother.

Victoria had already grown suspicious of the close bond between Ben and Kim and called her “the mummy girlfriend.” Nonetheless, she was shocked when her husband told her that he was leaving her for his biological mother.

Ben and Kim had to go into hiding because of a Michigan state law that said they could face up to 15 years in prison and be placed on a Sex Register for life.

Still, Kim defended their relationship and claimed their romance was real. “This is not incest. It is GSA. We are like peas in a pod and are meant to be together,” she told reporters.

She added that it’s a “lifetime chance” and not something she and her son could walk away from. “I know people will say we’re disgusting, that we should be able to control our feelings. But when you’re hit by a love so consuming you are willing to give up everything for it, you have to fight for it,” she continued.

Meanwhile, Ben also held firm in his stand and even went on to say to his wife, “Every time I have had sex with you since I met her, I imagine it’s her I am kissing; otherwise, I can’t perform.”

Genetic Sexual Attraction?

Mother and son incest is a taboo topic that is often met with disgust and horror. In an interview with the media, Ben spoke about how he and his mother had been in a sexual relationship.

Many people may find this relationship disgusting, but Ben describes it as loving and consenting. Kim also says that they have a solid emotional connection, often referred to as Genetic Sexual Attraction (GSA).

GSA occurs when blood relatives who meet as adults feel an extreme sexual attraction to each other. Mother and son incest is still very much a taboo topic, and cases like Ben and Kim’s show a borderline between abusive and wrong.

Of course, people have a lot to say about it, as published in News Australia.

“This is disgusting and makes me feel sick.”

“She’s the mother. She should know better. He wants a mum.”

“It’s not OK. It will never be OK. Incest is not OK.”

Public discourse

It’s easy to see why the idea of a mother and son committing incest is so shocking and disturbing. Incest is taboo for a reason, and it’s important to remember that it is not OK.

Not only it is morally wrong, but it can also lead to genetic defects in offspring. The thought of two family members engaging in sexual activity is enough to make most people feel disgusted, and rightly so.

However, some believe that a mother and son incest affair is not necessarily wrong or harmful. They argue that it is possible for two people to feel a deep emotional connection without also feeling sexual attraction. While this may be true in some cases, it is still important to err on the side of caution.

How do you think that the Earth got populated in the first place? In the beginning there was only Adam and Eve. Seeing how Adam and Eve are no longer on earth there had to be incest as mankind puts it at some time after Adam and Eve had their children. God instructed Isaac in the Bible to return to his home and marry his sister. Incest is not only a mankind made term, but man made law. If God instructed me to find my son and marry him then I would in a heartbeat!!! Mankind has destroyed just about everything that God has created!!! God foretold of how mankind’s law would overrule his law and that is exactly what has been happening for at least a millennium now. Somehow most of mankind has came to believe that they know more and better than God Almighty. Well wake up and smell the coffee people. I am not going to disobey God to suit mankind.

Well said and it’s about time someone said the truth and God’s law is the only law that we should obey and people should open there eyes and see to truth and for people that don’t want to open there eyes, well that your fault and I feel sorry for you for obeying man’s law but there is nothing wrong with incest

As I mentioned earlier, one of the biggest concerns here is inbreeding and genetics, not just social rules.

When close relatives have children together, the chances of recessive genetic mutations pairing up increases a lot. Most people carry harmful recessive genes, but they usually stay hidden because they’re paired with a healthy copy. In close-relative reproduction, those recessive genes are far more likely to match up, which can lead to serious genetic disorders.

Over many generations, humans accumulate more of these mutations. That’s why modern populations face much higher risks with inbreeding. It’s not just theory either. We’ve seen the effects historically in isolated populations and royal families where close-relative marriages were common.

So when laws and social norms discourage incest, it isn’t simply about controlling people. It’s based on long-understood biological risks and the need to protect future generations from preventable genetic harm.

I understand you’re looking at this through a religious perspective, and faith is important to a lot of people. But the laws around parent–child relationships weren’t created simply to oppose religion. There are legal, ethical, and scientific reasons societies draw a clear boundary here.

Parents have a lifelong position of authority and influence over their children. Because of that power imbalance, most legal systems treat these situations very seriously to protect family safety and prevent exploitation.

From a legal and ethical standpoint, a parent’s role is to care for and protect their child, not to form a romantic relationship with them. That’s why most societies draw a very clear line there.

There’s also the scientific side. When close biological relatives have children together, the chances of serious genetic disorders increase quite a lot. So the concern isn’t just moral or religious, it’s also about safeguarding people and preventing real biological risks.

But Adam and Eve never existed, as I guess you must be aware? – Charles Darwin wrote the origin of the species around 200 years ago, explaining the evolution of mankind from apes over the millennia. Apparently some religions were then forced to change their story because science forced them to with facts, and they then started saying that Adam and Eve never existed, it is just a story representing the story of creation,

Alright, I get where you’re coming from, and yeah, science and religion don’t always line up neatly.

But bringing it back to the actual topic here, whether someone believes in Adam and Eve or evolution doesn’t really change the bigger issue. Incest isn’t just about beliefs or old stories, it’s about real-world impacts, power dynamics, family roles, and the potential harm involved.

Even in cases where people argue it’s “consenting,” it’s still something most societies draw a hard line on, legally and ethically, for a reason.

You can have different views on religion or science, that’s fine, but this one’s not really solved by which origin story you believe in.

Yes, I was actually replying to Nora’s main point that the current entire population of the earth all descended from Adam and Eve, which, if this were true, would obviously as you say result in the entire human population being deformed beyond belief due to the complete inbreeding which would result in every single human being having the most colossal deformities due to the inevitable genetic abnormalities caused by incest. So obviously sex between close relatives is an appalling idea, if only on the grounds of the massively increased risk of deformities of any children resulting due to be much high risk of genetic errors.
Interestingly however, I did see a TV show a few years ago, about similar cases, and like these ones, they seem to ALL be where the child was given up at birth so they have never ever known their natural mother until they meet them when they are adults, so it is nothing like the “headline horror”, that people assume that it is always talking about a mother and son who have grown up TOGETHER, since the son was a baby, I don’t think that is the case in any of these cases?? – so I guess in a way it is understandable as these people have never ever met each other, but of course might have similar personalities because obviously they share the same genes, and may also have similar levels of attractiveness, so I guess the likelihood is that they will actually get on with each other really well when they finally meet as adults as complete strangers, so again I guess it is in a way not surprising at all that they might end up getting on really well and indeed finding each other attractive, but of course they do not have in any way at all because they have never ever seen their genetic mothers, the “natural aversion” the rest of us feel about having a physical relationship with our own mothers – for the reason that we have been brought up with our natural mothers our entire lives, but this factor which seems common to every case never seems to get mentioned as the obviously most important factor, I guess because the newspapers etc want to just make out that it is a mother and son who have lived together their entire lives to make it sound as completely unnatural and shocking as possible.
So I can actually see why this might happen, as I would assume any logical person thinking about it would also be able to see, but of course it would still not be a good idea for them to have babies due to the genetic risks.

I get what you’re saying, and yeah, those cases where people meet as adults can explain why the attraction happens. That whole genetic similarity thing and not having that built-in boundary growing up, it’s been talked about before.
