12-Year-Old Boy Denies Raping a Six-Year-Old Girl and Gets Bail for a Family Holiday

A 12-year-old boy has denied�raping a six-year-old girl at their�Sydney northern beaches primary school�and gets bail so he can go on a family holiday.

The boy, who cannot be identified for legal reasons, appeared at Hornsby Children’s Court with his parents, aunt and barrister.

He�and another 12-year-old boy, who was also charged, were accused of sexually and indecently assaulting a girl at their school during school hours.

Court documents alleged that the boy, along with another 12-year-old boy, first attacked the girl between 8:00am and 4:00pm, sometime in the last week of June.

Six weeks later, on August 16, he allegedly attacked and raped the girl�again, this time, on his own.

The two 12-year-olds were�arrested and charged on August 30.

On behalf of the boy, his lawyer�James Viney entered not guilty pleas to the charges of three counts of aggravated indecent assault in company, two counts of sexual intercourse with a child under the age of 10 and one count of indecent assault.

He was allowed bail, but a slight variation was made to allow him to go to Queensland for a week on a holiday with his parents.

The boy will have his case mentioned again on November 24.

The other boy�will face Hornsby Local Court next month on similar charges.
