A mother, who has a son with autism, was touched by the kindness of a stranger after her son had a meltdown at a local restaurant.

Cynthia Tipton, from Rock Hill, Missouri in the US was dining atBandana’s Bar-B-Q with her family last week when her 10-year-old son, Noland had a meltdown after being teased by his sister.

In a post to Facebook, Ms Tipton said she tried to comfort Noland who was already screaming and crying. She whispered, “It’s okay, buddy. Let’s calm down. Let’s be a little quieter. You’re safe”, and after a few minutes, her son calmed down.

Suddenly, a waitress approached her. At first, she said she thought that a fellow customer had complained, then the waitress handedher the bill, telling her their meal has already been paid entirely by another family. What’s more overwhelming was the note that was written in the bill thatreads:

“Hi! We couldn’t help but notice what a great mother you are and what a beautiful family you have. God bless.”

Ms Tipton told WCNChow thankful she is for the strangers’ act of kindness, saying she was “overwhelmed and humbled” by their thoughtfulness.

“Being a parent is tough.

“Being anautismparent is really tough. This family didn’t even know our circumstances but yet were so compassionate.

“It just really touched us,” she said.
