Mum Criticised For Going On A Child-Free Holiday

A mother has been criticised for having a child-free holiday in the Maldives.

Fashion blogger Nadia Bartel posted on her Instagram her incredible holiday with husband, former AFL star Jimmy, but some of her followers were quick to notice that the couple didn’t include in their snaps their two-year-old son, Aston — and some are not happy with it.

One follower commented: “Wow, how do you guys do it. I could not leave my kid behind and go on holiday.”

With more comments criticising her, Nadia finally stepped in to defend her decision to go on a child-free holiday. Writing to the original commenter, she stated:

“So you would never go on a trip without your baby? I miss him like crazy but I think it’s important to have time with just us too, this is the first time we have left him in 2 years, but I don’t need to explain myself to you as I normally don’t reply to fake accounts like yours,” she wrote.

Despite these judgmental comments, Nadia continued sharing amazing pictures of their grand holiday.

Other followers somehow found the positive in this and were quick to defend the couple. – On another picture of the couple together one wrote: “Enjoy your child free holiday (ignore above) Parents need time to nurture their relationship as well.”

True!
