McGrath Breast Care Nurses: Supporting Women with Cancer

Breast care nurse supporting a woman during a consultation about breast health.

Breast cancer”those two words can be crippling for a lot of women and their families. It can also create a lot of questions and uncertainty about what lies ahead.

Thanks to the hundreds of McGrath Breast Care Nurses that the McGrath Foundation has provided around Australia, women don’t have to feel alone anymore and have access to ongoing counselling, information and support.

As part of the Bonds and McGrath Foundation Make A Point for Breast Cancer campaign Jody was lucky enough to meetwith Gympie McGrath Breast Care Nurse Sharon Shelford, and we would like to share with you the amazing role of a McGrath Breast Care Nurse and how much of a difference they are making in the lives of women affected by a breast cancer diagnosis and their families.

If you or someone you know is affected by breast cancer and needs support, please visit the McGrath Foundation’s website to locate a McGrath Breast Care Nurse closest to you.

Breast cancer is painful, but you and your family do not have to go through it alone.
