11. No Female Drivers In Saudi Arabia

Saudi Arabia remains the only country in the world where woman are banned from driving. There are no exceptions, and the law comes with heavy punishment for any who disobey. This means that families need to either have live-in drivers in case they need to leave the home, or rely on male relatives to get around.

12. Reincarnation Only With Government Permission

One of the many things that totalitarianism-loving China did when it took power in Tibet was to ban Buddhist monks from reincarnating. Just when you thought the mysteries of the universe were above the realms of man! At the moment, the 2007 law has strict procedures to follow to gain permission to reincarnate, and is intended to ‘institutionalise management of reincarnation’.

13. Wearing A Bullet Proof Vest When Murdering Someone Is Illegal In NJ

In New Jersey, murdering someone is obviously bad, but for some reason, if you murder someone while you’re wearing a bullet proof vest, it’s even worse. The law is statute 2C:39-13, and it states that a person is disobeying the law if they wear a vest while they’re committing, or attempting to commit, murder, manslaughter, kidnapping, assault, or robbery. It will take your�third�degree offence to second degree!

14.�Don’t Get Fat In Japan

Despite Japan already having one of the lowest rates of obesity in�the world, lawmakers decided to make it official in 2008 by making it illegal to be fat. The law, passed in 2008, is known as the metabo law, and requires all Japanese citizens to stay below a government-mandated waistline or face consequences. These include mandatory counselling, monitoring and motivational support to get back into shape.

15.�No Flushing After Hours In Switzerland

Living in an apartment can be tough, especially if your neighbours are making noise at all hours of the night. Well, you won’t have to worry about that in Switzerland where noise pollution is taken so seriously that you can’t flush your toilet after 10pm if you live in an apartment. Apparently, noise pollution was worse in the eyes of the government than smell solution. Go figure.
