A group of teenagers, a couple of them as young as 14, have been taken to hospital after overdosing on a cocktail of prescription drugs.

Paramedics treated eleven teenagers from central Queensland at ahouse in Yeppoon in the early hours of Tuesday morning, with nine of them taken to Yeppoon Hospital for further treatment.

The teenagers, aged between 14 and 17, are made up of boys and girls.

Queensland Ambulance Services spokesman Brad Norris said the group had mixed and taken prescription drugs, which was ‘very concerning and extremely dangerous’.

He said that some of the teenagers were highly aggressive and irritable, while others were quite calm.

Authorities were investigating if other drugs or alcohol were involved.Teenagers As Young As 14 Hospitalised After Overdosing On Cocktail Of Prescription Drugs | Stay at Home Mum
