12 Bucket List Ideas for Couples

In just a couple of years, the concept of having a bucket list has gone from relative obscurity to the front of everyone’s minds.

From film features, to a staple on blogs, they are everywhere.

The bucket list is, sort of, what it sounds like: A list of things you want to do in your life before you ‘kick the bucket.’ Now, with the popularity of the singles’ bucket list, so too has the couples’ bucket list arrived on the scene. And couples are getting very creative about how to live their lives to the full, together.

Getting onto the bandwagon, we’ve decided to compile some of the best ideas we’ve seen for couples’ bucket lists. Feel free to add them to yours!

1. Go On A Roadtrip

Who doesn’t love the feeling of the road under your tyres, and new adventures on the horizon? One thing that all couples should do at some point in their lives is to take a road trip. It could be a monthlong odyssey around Australia, or it might be a weekend away to somewhere you’ve been meaning to visit. Grab a map, pack the car, and get ready for adventure x 2!

2. Build A Pillow Fort

This is the ultimate ‘kid’ thing to do, but what’s stopping you from reliving your own childhood with the one that you love? Building a pillow fort is a cute (and creative) way to let your inner child out to play with your partner. Get all the pillow and most of the blankets and artfully arrange them in an architectural masterpiece. If you can’t access your inner child, you can always romp around in your birthday suit and make it a very adult activity. *wink*

3. Share A Book

Not all couples are passionate readers, but if that’s your thing, you’re definitely going to want to add this to your bucket list. Find a book you’ve both been meaning to read, or perhaps something that one partner is interested in that the other is willing to try. Then, read it together and have a few ‘book club’ discussions along the way.

4. Enjoy The Great Outdoors

What’s better than the great outdoors? Add this to your bucket list if you’re a nature lover, or you’re trying to embrace nature more. You could go on a hike somewhere, or a gentle walk, spend the day geocaching, or take a little camping trip. Whatever you choose, try and disconnect yourself from bad habits, and share some quality time with your significant other.
