Responses to “Homemade Carpet Shampoo”
just wondering if this carpet shampoo can be used in a carpet shampoo vacume ?
No I would probably only use the specified carpet shampoo for carpet vacuums.
I used this mix and it worked well but I used 2 liters of water and it worked well
Do you just spray it on the carpet & rub it in until it’s clean or do you need to vacuum over it? Also, is there an alternative to ammonia?
Hi Rosie – no you just mix the ingredients in a bucket and then sponge over the carpet with a rag or sponge. There isn’t really an alternative to the ammonia, but you can try using the other allergy free carpet shampoo if you’d prefer not to use ammonia 🙂
Dry Carpet Shampoo Recipe (for Kirbys etc)
