40 minute run-time per charge
If you have pets at home (especially if you own a Labrador), you know that they shed so bad you could knit a coat from all hair gathered on the floor during any given day. This Dyson V8 Animal Extra Stick is designed just for you. It has 40 minutes of power per charge and has a powerful motor that spins at 107,000 rpm which allows it to collect not only animal hair but the finest dust. Comes with 5 additional tools including a Direct Drive Cleaner Head, Combination Tool, Crevice Tool, Soft Dusting Brush, Mini Motorised Tool and Low Reach Adaptor.
Perfect for:
Any household with pets. A must-have for all Labrador owners.
The Dyson V11 is a more powerful stick vacuum then the V8 and has up to 60 minutes of use per full charge. It spins at 125,000rpm making it the most powerful suction of any cordless vacuum on the market. This is the big daddy of stick vacuums! It easily converts into a hand-held vacuum and it has three different cleaning modes, eco, auto and boost, depending on what you need it to do. Dyson has also worked on the noise factor too as it has been acoustically engineered to absorb both vibrations and dampen noise – so you can vacuum whilst the baby is sleeping. This stick vac is so fancy it has an LCD screen that monitors the performance of the vacuum 8000 times per second.
A few reviewers stated that they had problems with the powerhead not working and it is also pretty heavy for a stick vacuum.
Perfect for:
The busy family home – no matter the size. Or Labradors.
This is the budget version of the Dyson V8 Animal Extra Stick – but not by a whole lot! It does come with additional tools to assist in removing pet hair from carpets and ground-in dirt. With the Direct Drive Cleaner Head of the Dyson V7, it has 75% more brush bar power than the original Dyson V7 Cord-Free.
Nice and light but pretty expensive – but then again – all Dyson vacuum cleaners are expensive.
The Bosch Zoo is 3.3kg (which is pretty heavy for a stick vacuum) and has a long sixty minute run time when fully charged. It does, however, take six hours to charge back up to 100%. The Bosch Zoo has three different performance levels and holds 0.9 litres of dust. Converts easily into a handheld vacuum. The dust bin is apparently a bit tricky to empty and a few users reported that it can be hard to maneuver.
