8. Lean Meats

Meat is a really good source of quality protein, but you don’t want to be eating too much fat, so try and opt for lean meats, which have been trimmed of fat, as much as possible. When it comes to red meat in particular, try and make sure that they’re about 95% or more fat-free. For pregnant mummas, beef and pork are great options as they have both protein and choline, which is beneficial. Remember that deli meats and hot dogs shouldn’t be eaten unless they’re heated until steaming, just in case.
