10+ Foods You SHOULD Be Eating When Pregnant (With Recipes Inside!)

There’s a lot of pressure on mums when they’re pregnant, and food can easily become a source of worry.

With so many lists out there about what youshouldn’tbe eating, we thought we’d provide a list to help you decide what good stuff you should add more of in your pregnancy diet.

Of course you don’t need to eat them all, so feel free to pick and choose what appeals to you. These foods are just here to give you a nutritious boost, and be of benefit to both you and your growing little one.

So without any more delay, let us serve them up! Here are10 foods you should be eating when pregnant.

1. Beans

There are so many bean varieties out there, we challenge you to get bored eating them during your pregnancy! From black beans to pinto beans, and every bean in between, these little things contain the most fibre and protein of any vegetable that we eat. Mums need to get a lot of protein during pregnancy, but fibre is also super important because pregnancy makes your gastrointestinal tract slow. This can lead to both haemorrhoids and constipation, but fibre helps to prevent, and relieve, these issues.
