Home Made Finger Paint | Stay at Home Mum Homemade finger paint is super easy and is made from ingredients you will already have at home (hopefully!). Here are a couple of really easy recipes:

Basic Cornflour Finger Paint

  • 1/2cup of cornflour
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 2 cup of cold water
  • food colouring of your choice

This is great kids activity!! Mix the above ingredients in a saucepan and stir over low heat whilst whisking until the mixture thickens. Let it cool, pour into an airtight container or ziplock bag.

Toxic free and doesn’t matter if the kids eat a bit! It can be a little gluggy, but all the more fun for squishing!

Corn Syrup Basic Finger Paint

  • 1/4 cup corn syrup
  • food colouring of your choice

Mix well and use accordingly. This paint can be a bit sticky, but it does paint beautifully well.

Recipe Hints and Tips:

  • You can store your finger paint in the fridge in an airtight container, jar or ziplock bag for up to a week.
