How to Make a Christmas Tree on a Wall

Wall-mounted Christmas tree with lights and ornaments for festive home decor.

If you have young children that like to pull down Christmas Trees or just don’t have a whole lot of room for a Christmas Tree, then a Christmas Tree on a Wall is a gorgeous and simple idea to decorate your home during the festive season.

To make a Christmas Tree on a Wall, you will need:

  • 1 strand of Christmas lights. Approx. 5-6 metres long.
  • Tinsel approx. 5-6 metres long
  • 25-30 small clear hooks that you can attach to wall
  • Assorted baubles or small decorations of your choosing.

Instructions:

Starting at the base of the tree start attaching the light strand with the clear hooks and work your way up the wall in a tree pattern. We used approx. 3-4 hooks each row.

Attach a star to top of tree.

Gently wrap the tinsel along and around the light strand finishing at the top. Trim off any excess tinsel and tuck in the end.

Attach small baubles and decorations to your liking taking care not to make it too heavy.
