The cabin crew of Turkish Airlines have been praised after helping deliver a baby girl aboard a flight at 42,000 feet.

Mum Nafi Diaby was28 weeks pregnant when she boarded the flight from Guinea’s capital, Conakry to Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso when just a short time after takeoff, she started having contractionsand was about to give birth.

With the help of other passengers, the cabin crew, who were trained to help passengers in need, went above and beyond their duties as they helped deliver Nafi’s baby, who was named Kadiju, while aboard the flight.

Turkish Airlines took to Twitter to announce the incredible birth and posted a tribute to the little bub and thanked the cabin crew for all their work.”Welcome on board Princess! Applause goes to our cabin crew!,” the post read.
